Citizen-led urban regeneration
Transforming cities from the ground up
We deliver programs that improve the liveability, inclusivity and sustainability of cities, together with the people who live in them.
The urban challenge
Asia's densest colonial heritage, and some of its least public space
Yangon has the densest concentration of colonial-era buildings of any city in Asia, and one of the lowest ratios of public space per person in South East Asia. Doh Eain works at the intersection of those two facts.

What we do
Four ways we work
Heritage Homes
We finance and manage the restoration of privately-owned historic buildings, recoup the cost from rental income, then return the property to its owner.
Public space & placemaking
We reclaim trash-filled alleyways and turn them into gardens, playgrounds, street markets and community gathering places.
Community resilience
The Yangon Neighbourhood Network, climate adaptation guidance, and support for grassroots organisations.
Capacity building
Young City Shapers, workshops, walking tours and advocacy that train the next generation of city-makers.
