Doh Eain

About us

Our Home

Doh Eain — “Our Home” in Burmese — is a community-centred social enterprise for heritage preservation and participatory urban regeneration in Yangon, Myanmar.

Our story

From a few family homes to a city practice

Founded in 2017, Doh Eain began by helping homeowner friends restore family properties. Today we are a non-profit with a subsidiary for revenue-generating work, delivering heritage conservation, public space, community resilience and capacity building across Yangon and beyond.

How we work

Four guiding principles

Local leadership

Local leadership and user-centredness guide every project.

Asset-based & creative

We start from what a place and its people already have.

Ecological sustainability

Ecological sustainability is designed in, not added on.

Financial viability

Every model is built to sustain itself over the long term.

The team

Our team, board and advisors bring together architecture, climate, heritage and community organising.
