Sixty-four shelters, built in eleven days each
Designed for monsoon conditions on constrained plots, using timber and brick that can be replaced locally.

The downtown shelter programme delivered 64 units on plots too small and too wet for standard humanitarian designs.
Locally milled timber and salvaged brick made up 82% of materials, so repairs need no imported parts and no specialist trades.
Average build time settled at eleven days once the third site was underway. The drawings are open for reuse.
