Nine heritage homes back with their families
The Thanlyin audit closed this month with nine restorations financed and handed back to their owners.

The Thanlyin heritage audit began as a condition survey of 24 township properties. It closed this month with nine buildings restored, tenanted long enough to recoup the works, and returned to the families who have held them for generations.
Owners kept title throughout. Doh Eain financed and managed the works, then stepped back, the model that has underpinned Our Heritage Homes since 2017.
Three more properties are in survey, and the costed restoration pathways from the audit are now published for owners who want to organise works themselves.
